Heatwave hits London

Today was the hottest day on record in England. Temperatures soared to over 36 degrees. Londoners just grinned and carried on with their daily life, but how silly is it that we can't wear shorts to work? I guess it's the British stiff upper lip culture. I would like to hear your thoughts on this, should we be able to wear dress shorts during a heatwave? As it is Wednesday I spent my usual one pound on the national lottery. What would I do if I won? Go and live in the USA and buy a big house with a swimming pool and meet all my USA friends and family. Tonight's entry is pretty short but at 25 degrees now I am going to get some sleep.
